Over a 5 year period I received the highest NPS score across Colliers Canada and continue to maintain this level.

Proprietary Methodology

I believe the business should drive real estate needs, not the reverse. My methodology and process enables me to truly understand my clients’ industries and business. I create the best real estate strategy to positively impact their business drivers, including productivity, culture, engagement, retention/attraction, brand and operational efficiency. Not only that, I do it on the very best financial terms.

Data

Good data leads to good decisions. Not only do I have uncommon real estate market knowledge, but I have also developed a data analytics program to provide my clients with unique insights into what their industries and peer groups are doing.

Process

I tailor my proprietary process to best suit the needs of each individual client. For some projects, I undertake an extensive discovery to clarify business and employee objectives. In other cases, I may simply help a client negotiate the best deal, on the best terms. Every client, and every process, is unique.

Industry Advisor

I started in the commercial real estate industry in 1996. I’m one of five people on Colliers' National Advisory Board, which advises Colliers' Canadian CEO on key national business issues. I’m a regular faculty member at Colliers University in the Netherlands, where I teach Colliers' leading professionals from around the world. I’m also a recipient of the Business In Vancouver Top Forty under 40 Award.

Future Trends

I have travelled to 20 cities around the world, researching the future of office space to see first hand how to increase employee engagement, productivity and create a healthy workforce particularly in the fields of technology and professional services.

Family and Community

I believe in the importance of family, and in taking care of our communities. With Colliers, I’ve helped raise over $50,000 for Hastings Elementary School’s hot breakfast program, where we helped feed 60-100 kids a day.

Colin Scarlett & Family Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award @ The University of British Columbia: My wife, two boys and I established a scholarship to help increase equity, diversity and inclusion in the commercial real estate industry. Multiple awards will be given out annually to UBC students who are from communities that have been historically, persistently and systemically discriminated against.
